Summer 2026 E-News Messages
July 21, 2026
Dear Vollmer Families,
We hope you're all enjoying your summer vacation and are creating great memories with family and friends. It has been so much fun running into some of our Vollmer students at the Fyle Playground and Henrietta Recreation Extended Camp this summer! I have to admit, I can easily get distracted chatting with them. I've also had the opportunity to meet some of our incoming fourth graders, which has made me even more excited for the school year ahead.
It is always fun to see your principal out in the community! I always remind our students that I'm human too; I live in our community, shop at the same stores, and enjoy seeing our Vollmer families around town.
Speaking of shopping, I noticed that Target has already started its back-to-school sales. If you're anything like me, this is the perfect time to stock up on school supplies. Our school supply list is included below for your convenience. While teachers may never ask outright, one item that is always appreciated is a box (or two!) of tissues. Between allergy season, everyday sniffles, sneezes, and the occasional cold, we go through an incredible amount of tissues throughout the year. Your generosity truly helps.
Here at Vollmer, we are busy preparing for an exciting 2026–2027 school year. Maintenance projects are underway, floors are being polished, and classrooms are being refreshed.
Our theme for this school year is "A Million Dreams, One Pride, Endless Courage." This theme celebrates the dreams each student brings, the pride we share as the Vollmer community, and the courage it takes to learn, grow, persevere, and support one another. Together, we will encourage every child to dream big, embrace new challenges, and recognize that when we work together as one school community, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.
We can't wait to welcome everyone back soon and begin another incredible year of learning, growth, and unforgettable memories!
